About me

I am a Research Assistant Professor (NTT) in the Department of Mathematics at Temple University, where my mentor is Yury Grabovsky.

Before moving to Philadelphia I was a Postdoc in the Department of Mathematical Analysis at Charles University in Prague, in the group led by Sebastian Schwarzacher.

I obtained my Ph.D. in May 2019 at Carnegie Mellon University, working under the supervision of Giovanni Leoni.

  • Starting Fall 2023, I will be a Postdoc at Arizona State University.
  • Starting Fall 2024, I will be an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Loyola University Chicago.

Research interests

My current research interests are partial differential equations and the calculus of variations. In particular, I focus on applications of these areas to problems that arise from materials science, continuum mechanics, and fluid dynamics.
