appointment Text: Hughes- Hallett, Gleason, McCallum et al., Calculus: Single Variable, Third Edition, John Wiley and Sons, 2002. Syllabus: Math C075 meets 8 hours a week for 6 weeks, a total of 48 hours. Chapter 1: A library of Functions I will cover all sections Chapter 2: Key Concept: The Derivative I will cover all sections. Chapter 3: Shortcuts to Differentiation Cover Sections 3.1-3.7 and 3.10. Section 3.8 is optional. Chapter 4: Using the Derivative I will cover Sections 4.1-4.3 and 4.5-4.7. Section 4.4 is optional. Grading: 3 quizzes will be done by the end of each chapter. Each quiz is worth 10% of the grade. This will count as 30% of the final grade. 6 homework assignments will be given, each worth 5% of the grade. This will count as 30% of the final grade. A final exam will be done by the end of the semester. It is a comprehensive exam including all sections covered throughout the semester.
