Please note that several supplementary books (solution manuals, study guides) are also offered on the same site. However, we DO NOT suggest or recommend that you  buy these books. If nevertheless you decide to buy some of them, shop around (e.g., go to amazon.com). You may find a better price.

We will cover most of the sections in Chapters 2 - 4 and the beginning of Chapter 5
Chapter 2:  Limits and Derivatives
Chapter 3:  Differentiation Rules
Chapter 4:  Applications of Differentiation
Chapter 5:  Integrals



Exams
There will be two common midterm exams and a comprehensive common final exam. The dates are:
Test 1: Wednesday, October 5,  5:50 PM - 7:20 PM
Test 2: Wednesday, November 16,  5:50 PM - 7:20 PM
Final Exam: Monday, December 12, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM



Common Quizzes

Important: you will have Review Quiz given in class on the second day of class, i.e., on Wednesday, 08/31, or Thursday, 09/01. It will be based on precalculus material. Students who perform poorly on the Review Quiz may be moved to Math 1022, Precalculus.

You will also have Quiz on Derivatives which will test your differentiation skills. It will be given in class in the middle of the ninth week.



Quizzes/Homework

Part of your homework will be assigned on WebAssign and will be graded by the computer. Your instructor will inform you how often the other part of the homework will be collected and how regularly you will have in-class quizzes.



Calculator Policy

No calculators, including cell phone calculators, will be allowed on the exams and on most of  your quizzes.
