This is a topics course. The main thread will be the geometry of polyhedra -- an ancient and beautiful subject which brings together many other central aras of modern mathematics. In addition, we will have a number of guest speakers give short talks on areas of current research.
The course will be graded on problem sets, a midterm, and projects (which can be done in teams, after discussion with me). Updates and late breaking news will be given on the course blog.
