Diophantine approximation, Hyperbolic manifolds and Hausdorff dimension

ABSTRACT: Certain results in the theory of diophantine approximation lead to interesting results about the orbits of the geodesic flow on a hyperbolic manifold. This talk presents a overview of some of these results and their generalisations.
