Here they are!
I know some of you have been anxious to see some pics from Lebanon.
You can also see the Aboulhosn Family
Page
I begin with family pictures and explanations then scenery
pictures.
This is my little cousin Bahaa. He is 5 years old in this picture. He is
the son of one of my many many first cousins.

This is my sister in the green and Hanine in the red. Hanine is 11 and
she is Bahaa's older sister.

The new player here is my Aunt Lamia. She is the middle of my dad's three
sisters and the grandmother to Hanine and Bahaa.

Me and a camel.

The statue here is Nabih Aboulhosn. He was a very famous actor from the
village. His last name Aboulhosn means that he is my cousin, no joke. If
you EVER meet an aboulhosn then that person is one of my cousins.

These three girls are the first three daughters of another of my (19)
first cousins. There names are (left to right) Nairuz (9), Raneem (11),
and Asseal (7).

Here we have Bushra, the mother of the three girls and the baby she is
holding. Rola and Makrem are the two kids relatively close to my age.
They are the children of Mona who is Bushra's oldest sister and the little
girl in pink is Mona's first granddaughter. At this point I suppose it is
fair to say a little something about the size of my family. While I was
in Lebanon I spoke with SIX generations of family members. This little
girl whose name evades me is technically 2 generations down from me. Her
great grandmother is my aunt, my dad's oldest sister. While in Lebanon I
also saw aunt daisy, my dad's aunt (originally from VA, but she is really
part of the family) and my grandmother's uncle Amin, who actually is
younger than my grandmother.

Me(22), Rola(19), Amanda(18), and Makrem(16)

I don't know all these people's names, but they are all related to me.

Now just some nice scenery

This is the street next to aunt Lamia's house.

This is a building in Beirut racked by the civil war a few years ago.
Most of Beirut is now built up again and looks very cosmopolitan. However
a few buildings remain like this, and I hope they stay.

I just like this picture.

This is aunt Lamia's house.

A nice river and waterfall way down into a valley near Rola and Makrem's
house. It reminds me of New Hamshire in the summer.

This picture unfortunately didn't turn out as we'd hoped. The moon was
actually big in the sky right above the mountains. The sun was setting
behind another mountain and we were driving through this valley. So that
is the thin orange strip you see on top of the mountains. I may rescan
this and try to get the moon in it.
Probably my favorite scene during my whole trip.
