Originally I am from a small island in the English Channel called Jersey. If you ever wondered why the state was called New Jersey that is because the guy who named it was from the Island of Jersey and the beaches reminded him of home. Strangely enough, I did my undergraduate degree at York University in the beautiful city of York in Northern England which another American State was named for.
